Privacy Policy
How Medical Documents Organizer handles local documents, analytics, OCR and privacy.
Effective date: 19 May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Medical Documents Organizer handles information when you use the app. The app is designed as a private family organizer for medical documents, appointments, records, receipts and reminders.
1. Information you may store in the app
You may choose to add information such as:
- family member names and optional profile details;
- medical document photos, PDF files and other files selected by you;
- appointments, doctors, clinics, booking numbers and notes;
- receipts, invoices, payment amounts and reimbursement status;
- recognized text extracted from images by OCR, if you use this feature.
2. Local storage by default
The app is designed to store your medical documents and related organizer data locally on your device. We do not operate a medical records server for this app, and we do not intentionally collect, view, sell or share the medical documents that you add to the app.
If you uninstall the app or erase app data, locally stored app data may be deleted from your device unless you have exported or backed it up yourself.
3. OCR text recognition
The app may include OCR text recognition to help extract text, dates or amounts from images. Recognition may be incomplete or inaccurate. You should always review and correct recognized fields before saving or using them.
OCR is intended only to help organize your documents. It is not intended to interpret medical results or provide medical conclusions.
4. Analytics and diagnostics
The app may use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand general app usage, improve reliability and detect crashes. These tools may process technical information such as app interactions, device type, operating system version, crash logs and approximate diagnostic data.
We do not send your document files, OCR text, patient names, medical numbers, diagnoses, appointment notes or receipt contents to Firebase Analytics as custom event data.
5. Purchases
If you buy Lifetime Premium or another in-app product, the transaction is processed by Google Play or Apple App Store. We do not receive your full payment card details. The stores may provide purchase status information needed to unlock premium features and restore purchases.
6. Advertising
The free version of the app may display ads if advertising is enabled. Ads may be provided by Google AdMob or similar advertising services. Advertising partners may use device identifiers or ad-related data according to their own policies and your device settings. We do not use the contents of your medical documents to target ads.
7. Permissions
The app may request permissions only when needed:
- Camera: to photograph documents you choose to add.
- Photos / files: to import selected documents.
- Notifications: to remind you about appointments and document-related tasks.
- Biometrics: to protect app access if app lock is enabled.
8. Sharing and exporting
You can choose to open, print, export or share documents from the app. When you use the device share sheet, email, messaging apps, cloud drives or printers, the selected files are handled by the services you choose. Please review their privacy practices before sharing sensitive documents.
9. Children and family members
The app may be used by a parent or guardian to organize family documents. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to store and manage documents for another person.
10. Data deletion
Because the app stores organizer data locally by default, you can delete data directly inside the app, clear app data in your device settings, or uninstall the app. See our Delete Data page for details.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
