Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Maks Astera / Maksym Andriienko (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the Astera Bond mobile application (“the App”).
2. Information you provide
Depending on the features you use, you may provide:
- an optional display name or nickname;
- relationship context selected in the App;
- connection or partner labels/nicknames, pronouns, and relationship status;
- answers to self-reflection tests and the resulting scores or profile dimensions;
- answers you provide about a connection or partner for a Partner Snapshot;
- support messages and any information you choose to include when contacting us.
Please avoid entering information that you do not have the right to provide. You may use nicknames or labels instead of real names for other people.
3. Anonymous account and identifiers
On first use, the App may create an anonymous account using Firebase Authentication. This generates a unique user identifier (UID). The UID is used to associate your Astera Bond data with your account. The current version does not require your email address, phone number, or real name to create this anonymous account.
4. Data stored in Firebase
The App may store account and app data in Google Firebase services, including Cloud Firestore. This may include your anonymous UID, onboarding state, optional profile fields, connections, self-test results, Partner Snapshot results, Quick Spark history, timestamps, and technical fields needed to operate the App.
5. Analytics and crash diagnostics
We use Firebase Analytics to understand general feature usage and Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes and stability problems. These services may process app instance identifiers, device and app information, usage events, crash logs, diagnostics, and related technical data.
We design analytics events not to include names, message contents, screenshots, relationship notes, or other free-form private content.
6. Remote configuration and app operation
Firebase Remote Config or similar Firebase services may be used to deliver feature settings, maintenance flags, minimum-version settings, and other configuration needed to operate the App.
7. How we use information
- to provide and maintain Astera Bond;
- to save your progress and relationship self-reflection data;
- to maintain your anonymous account and keep data associated with the correct user;
- to understand general app usage and improve features;
- to detect, diagnose, and fix crashes and technical problems;
- to protect the App against abuse, unauthorized access, and security incidents;
- to answer support and privacy requests;
- to comply with legal and app-store obligations.
8. Third-party service providers
The current version may use services provided by Google/Firebase, including:
- Firebase Authentication;
- Cloud Firestore;
- Firebase Analytics / Google Analytics for Firebase;
- Firebase Crashlytics;
- Firebase Remote Config;
- Google Play services and the applicable app-store infrastructure.
These providers may process technical and account-related data as needed to provide their services under their own terms and privacy commitments.
9. Data sharing and sale
We do not sell your personal information. We disclose information only to service providers needed to operate, secure, analyze, and support the App; when required by law; or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the App, or legal rights.
10. Data retention
Account and app data may be retained while your Astera Bond account remains active. When you delete your account or submit a valid deletion request, we will delete or anonymize associated app data unless retention is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.
Analytics and crash-diagnostic data may be retained for the periods configured by the applicable service provider and may not always be directly identifiable by us from an email address.
11. Account and data deletion
You can request deletion of your Astera Bond account and associated data using the instructions on our Data Deletion page. The App is also intended to provide an in-app path for deleting the account and associated data.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including authenticated access rules and access controls intended to restrict users to their own data. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
13. Other people's information
Astera Bond may allow you to save a nickname, relationship status, or observations about another person. You are responsible for ensuring that you have a lawful basis or appropriate permission to provide information about other people. We encourage you to use nicknames and avoid unnecessary identifying or sensitive information.
14. Adults only
Astera Bond is intended for adults aged 18 and older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children through the App.
15. Self-reflection disclaimer
Astera Bond is designed for entertainment, education, and self-reflection. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. App results should not be treated as professional psychological, psychiatric, medical, legal, or safety advice.
16. International data processing
Service providers may process information in countries other than your country of residence. Where required, processing is subject to applicable legal safeguards and provider data-protection terms.
17. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of certain personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have rights under applicable U.S. state, Canadian, EEA, UK, or other privacy laws.
To submit a privacy request, contact asteraspprt@gmail.com. We may need reasonable information to verify the request and identify the relevant Astera Bond account.
18. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, our service providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date above and, when appropriate, provide additional notice.
