Privacy Policy
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Pet Care Organizer (the “App”), published by MaksAstera. The Android package identifier is com.astera.petcareorganizer.
The App is designed to help you organize pet-care information. We aim to minimize data collection and to keep the information you enter under your control.
2. Information you add to the App
You may choose to enter or attach information such as:
- pet names, species, breeds, dates and profile details;
- veterinary appointments, vaccinations, treatments, medications, care notes and reminders;
- documents, images and other files you select or create;
- contact details for veterinary clinics or other care providers, if you choose to save them.
This content is stored locally on your device for the App’s core functionality. The developer does not receive the pet-care records, documents or images that you store in the App.
Your operating system or device manufacturer may include app data in a device backup if backups are enabled in your device settings. Such backups are controlled by your platform provider and your device settings, not by MaksAstera.
3. Device permissions
Depending on the features you use, the App may request access to:
- Camera — to capture a document, image or code when you choose to use a scanning feature;
- Photos, files or media — to attach or export files selected by you;
- Notifications — to show reminders that you configure;
- Biometric authentication — if available and if you enable device-level protection for the App.
Permissions are used only to provide the requested feature. You can manage them in your device settings.
4. Technical information and third-party services
The App may use third-party services for stability, analytics, advertising and purchases. These services may process limited technical information such as device identifiers, app interactions, crash information, diagnostics, approximate location inferred from an IP address, advertising identifiers, consent choices and purchase status.
Services that may be used
- Google Play services and Google Play Billing — app distribution, updates and in-app purchases;
- Firebase Analytics — aggregated usage analytics;
- Firebase Crashlytics — crash reports and diagnostics;
- Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) — ads and consent management where advertising is enabled.
Third-party processing is governed by the relevant provider’s own terms and privacy policies. Advertising may be personalized or non-personalized depending on applicable law, your region and your consent choices.
5. Purchases
If you buy a premium feature or other digital item, the payment is processed by the applicable app store. The developer does not receive your full payment-card details. The App may receive purchase status information needed to unlock purchased features and restore purchases.
6. How information is used
Information is used to:
- provide the features you request;
- store and display your pet-care records locally on your device;
- schedule reminders you configure;
- improve reliability and understand general feature usage;
- show ads where enabled and manage consent choices;
- process and restore purchases;
- respond to support requests that you choose to send.
7. Data sharing
We do not sell your pet-care records, documents or images. Limited technical data may be processed by the third-party services described above when those services are enabled. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect legal rights.
8. Data retention and deletion
Your pet-care content remains on your device until you delete individual items, erase all App data using an available in-app option, clear the App’s storage in system settings or uninstall the App. Instructions are available on the Delete your data page.
Technical data processed by third-party services may be retained according to their own policies and legal obligations.
9. Security
We use reasonable measures to reduce unauthorized access. You are responsible for keeping your device secure, using device screen-lock features and maintaining appropriate backups where needed. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended to collect personal information from children. A parent or legal guardian should supervise any use by a minor.
11. International users
Third-party providers may process limited technical information in countries other than your own, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when features, legal requirements or third-party services change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when revisions are published.
